What’s it about?
Join best friends Happy Camper and Fuzzy for Let’s Go Camping!, a camping adventure told through music, puppetry, and creative play! Along the way, children explore the wonders of nature, meet woodland friends, and earn Junior Explorer badges. 30 Minute Performance. Told with two actors, a ukulele, and a backpack full of surprises.
Space Requirements: Flexible with minimal scenic elements.
Technical Needs: A small table to place the camping backpack on (for hospital performances, the in-room overbed “c” tables work great!), Two microphones for larger audiences.
Audience Size: Intimate. As small as one child. Recommended max 30 youth.
Post-Show: Each child will receive a map to color, featuring the badges earned during the performance. The back of the map has post-show activities and a QR code to access the audio adaptation of Let’s Go Camping!.

Who is it for?
Let’s Go Camping! is a piece of Theatre for the Very Young, intended for youth ages 2-5. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal or doll, which they will be invited to puppeteer throughout the performance. Additional fuzzy friends are available to borrow during the performance if needed.

How is it done?
Let’s Go Camping! transforms any space into an imaginative journey through the great outdoors. Beginning and ending with a blank space, Happy and Fuzzy pull everything they need out of a comically large backpack. Miniature trees create a forest, woodland friends pop out of hidden doors, and shimmery fabric forms ducky’s lake. Let’s Go Camping! is an immersive experience with built in flexibility for play.
